Rapid chess tournament between professional chess players

22 students of the "Gazprom Armenia" "Educational and Sports Complex", who hold chess sport ranks, competed for the title of the best in a rapid chess tournament.

Over two intense days of competition, 6 rounds were held using the Swiss system. As a result, Sipan Hajiyan, a student of Grade 5G, took third place, while Areg Budaghyan, a student of Grade 5D, secured second place. The honorable first place and the tournament cup were claimed by Mikael Antonyan, a Grade 4D student and a second-category chess player. Additionally, Tatevik Hovsepyan, a Grade 5A student and the only girl participant with a sport rank, was awarded a medal for her impressive play.

Certificates of participation and medals were presented to the students by ESC chess instructors Robert Nazaryan and Arthur Kocharyan. Alexander Grigoryan, Director of the "Gazprom Armenia" "Educational and Sports Complex", congratulated the chess players and announced that this tournament, held for the first time, will now become a tradition. He encouraged the students not to settle for their current achievements and to strive for greater success.
