The First Steps on a Long Journey

The elementary school of Gazprom Armenia CJSC Educational and Sports Complex offers an educational program that integrates both traditional and modern teaching methods. It fosters an environment where each student can discover their abilities and develop a strong value system.

Features of Education

The elementary school implements phenomenon-centered learning, which aims to develop students' critical thinking, independence, teamwork, and creativity.

Foreign language instruction begins in the first grade. Starting in the second grade, students are grouped in Russian and English classes based on their proficiency levels. This approach ensures individualized and effective learning.

In addition to the lessons outlined in the curriculum, lesson preparation is also organized and conducted by the homeroom teacher, homeroom assistant, and subject teachers.

Taking into account the child's developmental stage and with parental consent, the child has the opportunity to receive support from a psychologist and a speech therapist.

Education

In addition to the subjects mandated by the state compulsory curriculum, the alternative program of the State Educational Service offers opportunities for development in three main areas:

* Intellectual orientation: logical reasoning, arithmetic, computer science, LEGO robotics, and science ("Little Inventor

* Physical orientation: swimming, figure skating, football, mini-basketball, judo.

* Creative orientation: The subject "Art Technology" encompasses bibliotherapy, music therapy, theater therapy, fairy tale therapy, and isotherapy.

Starting in the 4th grade, students are included in the chess team and the mathematics Olympiad groups.

Admission

Admission to the "Gazprom Armenia" CJSC Educational and Sports Complex is conducted in accordance with the established procedure.

Admission to the first grade of elementary school is organized on a competitive basis. Children who have reached the age of six by December 31 of the given year are eligible to apply for admission.

Admission is conducted through a three-stage process:

Stage 1: Open Day and Admission Registration

* Electronic registration (the announcement about the start of admission is posted on the SSU website, as well as on its social media pages).

* Participation in the Open Day and familiarization of parents with the school's educational program.

Admission Registration

Stage 2: Conduct staged interviews and meetings with the applicant.

* Observation of the cognitive domain, educational skills, and emotional and behavioral spheres. Format: individual meeting.

* Observation of communication, social, self-regulation, and self-service skills. Format: group game meeting.

Stage 3: Summary of the Observation Results.

* Summary of admission results and notification to parents regarding the school's decision via email.

* Signing contracts with the parents of applicants who have successfully passed the admission stages, following the established procedures and deadlines.

Admission to the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades of elementary school is organized based on knowledge testing and is subject to the availability of places.
