In the Footsteps of Alen Margaryan, Hero of Artsakh

An event dedicated to the memory of Artsakh hero Alen Margaryan was held at the “Educational and Sports Complex” of Gazprom Armenia CJSC as part of the “Geography” subject program.

Preparing for the event, the 8th graders of the school, with the help of their subject teacher Lusine Hakobyan, studied Alen Margaryan’s life and interests. During the morning, they presented to the senior students a brief but meaningful 21-year biography of Alen Margaryan—a participant in the 44-day war, a laureate of the “Golden Eagle” order, an active young man in the media sphere, a director, a writer, a student, and a traveler.

In the second part of the event dedicated to the hero, the eighth graders participated in a quiz, attempting to in the footsteps of Alen Margaryan’s journeys through their knowledge.

At the end of the morning, Alen's mother, Nazeli Terteryan, who founded and leads the "Alen Margaryan" charitable non-governmental organization, expressed gratitude for the initiative and emphasized that young people are the ones who keep the memory of her heroic son and other patriotic Armenians alive.

As a summary of the initiative, on February 11, Alen's birthday, our school students visited Yerablur to pay tribute to the memory of the immortal victims.
