The Educational and Sports Complex of Gazprom Armenia CJSC hosted an event titled "Let's Open the Dictionary Together," dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing. The event featured the participation of students from Grades 6A, 6D, and 6E.

At the beginning of the event, the students delivered presentations on various types of dictionaries, emphasizing their role and importance in preserving and developing language. They also discussed the work of renowned Russian lexicographers Vladimir Dal and Sergey Ozhegov and introduced modern online platforms that assist users in finding the information they need.

The teams then competed in a three-stage game, during which they used various types of dictionaries and completed a series of tasks. The fans also actively supported their teams by participating in separate activities and earning additional points for them.

According to the event organizer, Tamara Arushanova, Head of the Russian Language Department, dictionaries contribute to vocabulary enrichment, a deeper understanding of language, and the development of грамотной речи (correct speech) and language skills. The event also aimed to foster linguistic intuition and strengthen teamwork.

At the end of the event, the winning team, Grade 6D, along with the participating classes, Grades 6A and 6E, were awarded certificates of achievement.
