Karlen Hovhannisyan, a lecturer at the Department of Rescue of the RA State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, had a series of meetings with the students and staff of our educational complex, presented the features of the earthquake as a natural disaster, the main steps to be prepared for it, the behavior of the person during and after the earthquake. He showed the backpack which should contain all the essentials: medicine, warm clothes, dry food, cutting tool, necessary documents, sleeping bag, etc. The meeting lasted longer than planned as our students were very interested in the topic. They already had some information but this meeting provided more practical knowledge.

A few days later, an educational evacuation was held in the school of our educational complex, the purpose of which is to ensure the high level of readiness of the children and to create an opportunity to apply practical knowledge. The training was conducted by the State Academy of Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation.

It is planned to carry out the air alarm exercise. The children asked the rescuer many interesting questions. The fourth-grade students were especially active. The most frequently asked question was և the following ․ "How can we communicate with our relatives in the absence of all means of communication?" In response to the question, the rescuer advised having a pre-determined meeting place with the relatives for such situations. For example, he agreed with his relatives to meet in the yard of the church near their house in any such situation. He advised to have a simple charged phone in the backpack without a battery, but with a charged card.
