ESC Student Participates in the International Mathematical Olympiad
Erik Hasratyan, a 9th-grade student in class “A” at the Gazprom Armenia CJSC Educational and Sports Complex, who received a second-class diploma in the Republican Olympiad in Mathematics, represented Armenia alongside his team at the 11th International Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad.
Erik, a scholarship recipient at Hrant Tadevosyan State University, returned from the Olympiad in the Republic of Adygea with a certificate of merit and additional certificates.
In an interview with us, the student noted that it was a great honor to represent Armenia among dozens of participating countries.
“This was a great experience for my teammates and me, and I am very impressed,” he noted.
In addition to competing in the Olympiad, Eric had the opportunity to attend educational programs and lectures led by top experts in the field.
“Our daily routine was very busy. In addition to classes, we also participated in cultural events that provided opportunities to meet representatives of other nations and exchange thoughts and ideas,” said Eric.
The ESC student noted that although this was his first experience participating in an international Olympiad, his knowledge was fully sufficient to represent himself with honor. Next year, the young mathematician intends to improve his results.
