European Day of Languages
In 2001 the European Union, in order to represent the diversity of languages and spreading them, declared 26th of September as European Day of Languages. Europe celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity on 26 September with the aim of emphasizing the importance of learning languages in the process of continuous personal development.
Every year, the member states of the Council of Europe organize various events, TV programs, language courses, conferences on this day – aiming at raising the value of languages.
On the occasion of the European Day of Languages, the foreign language teachers of our educational complex - Russian, English, German, French - together with the students got acquainted with the rich European culture, symbols and traditions.
This day is more than significant for us, as the teaching and learning of foreign languages is a special part of the educational program in the school of our educational complex.
