Erik Hasratyan, a 9th-grade student at the Educational and Sports Complex of Gazprom Armenia CJSC, who received a second-degree diploma in the Republican Mathematics Olympiad, will represent Armenia at the 11th International Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad.
He will travel to Maykop, the Republic of Adygea, along with the other three diploma winners of the Republican Olympiad to participate in the competition of the strongest. There, they will compete against approximately 160 students from 15 countries—including Bulgaria, Iran, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Serbia, and others—as well as from 20 regions of Russia, in teams of four.
The director of the ESC, Alexander Grigoryan, along with other members of the management team, met with the student and the coach of the mathematics Olympiad group, Suren Grigoryan, before the tournament to encourage them and wish them success.
A. Grigoryan noted that receiving an invitation to participate in the International Caucasian Olympiad is already a significant achievement, and the school holds high expectations.
“We have created optimal conditions for the continuous improvement of educational standards. Starting from the 4th grade, we offer a Math Olympiad group led by top specialists in the field. I am confident that, as a result of this Olympiad, we will achieve significant accomplishments,” said the director, wishing Erik success.
Other members of the ESC leadership also wished the student success.
At the end of the meeting, the school teacher S. Grigoryan was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the director for his achievements, sincere care, willingness, responsible attitude, and dedicated work.
Let us add that Erik has also earned a first-degree diploma in Physics from the Republican Olympiad.
