The theater group of the Gazprom Armenia CJSC Educational and Sports Complex was entrusted with performing at the award ceremony of the 1st National Competition-Festival of School Performances named after L. Kalantar.

It should be noted that 390 students, ranging from first graders to graduates, participated in the national competition-festival. During the festival, which lasted approximately five months, the jury evaluated 35 performances.

The GAUS Theater Company's performance of "The Sun in the Darkness," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, was placed outside the competitive program of school performances due to its exceptionally high artistic and staging quality, and received the Festival's special prize for addressing the most important theme and promoting military-patriotic education among youth.

The award was presented to the artistic director of the theater troupe by Sergey Kopyrkin, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, and Inessa Kudruk, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Belarus in Armenia.

At the end of the show, following another brilliant performance by the theater troupe, the audience gave our actors a standing ovation, wiping away tears of emotion.
