At the Gazprom Armenia CJSC Educational and Sports Complex, chess plays an important role in the students’ educational program. Thanks to school lessons and the Olympic chess group, our students continue to develop their abilities.

As a result of the 4th-category chess qualification tournament held at the school, as well as competitions during the summer, our students have achieved new sports categories.

This summer, Sipan Hajyan, a 6A grade student, completed the 1st category; Hovhannes Musayelyan from 6A and Mikayel Margaryan from 5A achieved the 3rd category; and Davit Ayvazyan from 5G achieved the 4th category.

Based on the results of the 4th-category chess qualification tournament held at the Gazprom Armenia CJSC Educational and Sports Complex, the following students earned new categories:

• Mher Movsisyan, Grade 9A

• Tigran Mertarchyan, Grade 6A

• Artur Varsanyan, Grade 5B

• Leo Danielyan, Grade 5Z

• Suren Galstyan, Grade 4A
